If you are a retailer with your own ERP system or a retailer that uses a software solution from a software supplier* that is connected to Tradeplace and you are looking for a real-time ordering and availability service that is free of charge to use, this service will definitely be of interest to you.

The interaction between retailers and manufacturers couldn’t be easier: via the integration of the standardised XML-interface, your own ERP system is directly connected to the system of the specific manufacturer. This provides you with up-to-date product information in the PI standard, you can check real-time product availability and place orders, including instant order confirmation. This can be completed easily in tandem with your own order processing system. There are a number of messages available for you to use. Best of all, you and your colleagues continue working with your own system as before, no need for any additional training.

The Tradeplace Direct Connection enables communication in real time via XML between the manufacturer's and customer's business (ERP) systems. It provides a solution built on internet de-facto standards to streamline the Supply Chain processes and supports the complete Ordering life cycle process, from Product Availability check to Shipping Notification. Transactions are carried out in real time, which makes it ideal to process order / request at Point of Sale while talking to your end customer.
You can have access 24/7 to the full product range and achieve a faster processing of Business Transactions, which will improve your company's efficiency to do business in the modern marketplace.
With the real-time performance you can connect your website to the Direct Connection for instant ordering and product availability. Tradeplace Direct Connection complies fully with the CECED Product Information standard (PI).
As you only need one connection to access the wealth of information of your suppliers that are connected to Tradeplace it will also reduce costs when you have a future migration project, as only one connection needs to be migrated.
Connect once and communicate with all suppliers available on Tradeplace! As all manufacturers adhere to the same standard you will only need to make one implementation for all manufacturers. This leads to a reduced implementation cost by standardized communication with all participating manufacturers / brands.
Tradeplace Direct Connection offers a unique solution which is shared and jointly developed by all Tradeplace Participants.
In comparison with EDI:
- No batch mode, but internet based real time communication which provides a faster response to customer's requests
- More message types available (e.g. availability check)
- No costs for transport of tradexml, the Direct Connection is free of charge to use by Tradeplace customers.
- Can easily be connected with several software systems
- Real time price information

Currently the Tradeplace Direct Connection service can be provided by the participating manufacturers in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom. Greece and Hungary will follow shortly.
